INFORMATION ON THE SPECIAL INVESTORS RESIDENT VISA (SIRV)

The SIRV allows a foreign national with investments in the Philippines, and qualified members of his/her family, to reside in the country.

Applicant should submit all documentary requirements to the Embassy;
Upon receipt of all requirements, Embassy will forward application to appropriate government office in Manila for processing and approval;
Embassy will issue the SIRV upon receipt of approval from Manila;
The spouse and unmarried children under 21 years of age of the applicant may also be issued the same visa, if accompanying or if following to join him after his admission into the Philippines as a special investor resident.

D. Registry of Investment:

The investor shall have one hundred eighty (180) days from the day of remittance to make the investment and to report such investment to the Board of Investments (BOI) and to register with the Central Bank, copy furnished the Bureau of Immigration in the prescribed form. Failure to file the foregoing report within three (3) months from the date the investment was made shall automatically terminate the holders special resident status.

E. Reportorial Requirements

As a holder of the SIRV, an alien shall be entitled to reside in the Philippines while his investment subsists. For this purpose, he should submit an annual report, in the form duly prescribed for the purpose, to prove that he has maintained his investment in the country. Should said alien withdraw his investment from the Philippines, then the SIRV issued to him will automatically expire.
