General Philippine Visa Information

The Philippine Embassy in Beijing and all Philippine Consulates General in China, introduced in February 2002 simplified visa guidelines for Chinese nationals visiting the Philippines for a period not exceeding 59 days.

Visa requirements for short-term business and leisure travelers have been simplified, allowing visa applicants only a single supporting document. Individual visas are normally processed within three (3) working days. Group tour visas filed by accredited travel agencies may be released within 24 to 48 hours. Visa fee was reduced to RMB 250.

Applicants should be guided by the documentary and procedural requirements concerning applications for entry visas to the Philippines of PRC passport holders.

Beginning June 2002, the Philippines implemented the landed visa policy for PRC passport holders entering the country at any international port of entry as members of group tours. This policy enables tour group members to obtain their visas at their port of entry, if, for any reason, they are unable to apply for their visitor's visas from the Philippine Embassy or any of the Philippine Consulates General in China.

Effective 15 March 2003, the Embassy visa schedule is as follows:

Monday to Friday
0900H to 1200H - acceptance of visa applications
1300H to 1600H - release of visaed passports

Visa applications will not be accepted in the afternoon. Visaed passports will be released one working day after receipt by the Embassy, unless advised otherwise.
