Ambassador and Madame Gaa led the officers and staff of the Philippine Embassy and their families in a solemn flag-raising ceremony on 12 June, Philippine Independence Day, at the Embassy Grounds. The flag-raising was followed by Panunumpa sa Watawat and a traditional Filipino breakfast of garlic fried rice, daing, dangit, tapa, longanisa, kamatis at maalat na itlog at the Embassy's Acacia Hall.
